Measurable Magic.
Listening, collaborating, defining, identifying, focusing, planning, designing, conceptualizing, implementing, building and maintaining are all necessary actions of a design company, and no matter how you slice it we utilize the same process one way or another. It's good for business and for the sake of best practices. But, how do you keep best practices from becoming common practices? By incorporating factors that are not typically included in the process, but inherent just the same, things that are seemingly esoteric in nature that include foresight, intuition, identifying trends and understanding what is possible are the magical components that transform good design into great design. |
Approach
We focus
on the client's brand message and how it will translate to the target audience. Once the audience
is defined we can create a clear project message with enormous
impact.
Another mission critical element to our approach is maintaining
a communication-based relationship with our clients during
all phases of a project. We never underestimate that relationship
by concluding that our ideas or designs are better than anyone
else's. We respect our clients as equal partners that want
to take an active role in a project, and treat them as informed,
intellectual collaborators who want to achieve outstanding work.

Process
Define
At the beginning of every project is research. No matter the
type, how big, the delivery method, all projects must be thoroughly
researched. To accomplish this, we Listen. We ask the client
questions, about the company, about the target audience, about
the product or service, and then we listen to the answers, trying
to get our hands around the central idea or theme to give
it context. We establish a dialog to create the foundation
for a collaborative partnership with the client. We invite
the client in early and often during the lifecycle of the
project. The success of a project is dependant on our ongoing
communications. We set out to define the objective of the
project. By the end of this phase we should have a clear understanding
of the goals of a project.
Plan
The project takes on a physical form during this phase. Data
from the previous phase is analyzed and converted into workable
models. Creative and technical briefs are drawn up to explain
and describe the logistics of the project. Project architecture
and flowcharts are created to give the project a visual roadmap.
Content sources are defined and implemented. Internal and
external to-do documents are created to keep the project delivery
schedules on target.
Build
Concepts are presented and refined during this phase. Once
a concept is selected visual explorations are applied to the
concept. Once a final design is approved the process of creating
the project begins. Utilizing the roadmap from the previous
phase the project rapidly takes final form. As with previous
phases the client is encouraged to give feedback to keep expectations
on track.
Deliver
The final phase of the project ensures that all goals have
been met and all briefs implemented before delivery of the
project. Final changes and beta testing are conducted and
all necessary modifications are completed. Interactive projects
typically require ongoing maintenance or support. All of our
interactive projects are guaranteed to function as promised
and will be maintained by our staff as outlined in the contract. |
